Givenchy Spring Summer Collection 2014 in Paris

On Sunday night, the Halle Freyssinet offers us a frenzy of smoking car wrecks which dominate the setting. The models walk in time to the drums of the Bronx, sporting a haughty look whilst wearing ever-so-chic flat and patent gladiator sandals. Long dresses are cleverly worked in fluid, draped jersey and yet bare the skin at the same time. There are jewelled masks, toga dresses and ponchos embroidered in multicoloured sequins, conjuring the image of a tribal ceremony. The colours are equally monastic, including bronze, nut-brown and saffron yellow. For each of his collections, Riccardo Tisci calls upon his mystical fondness combined with his true talent to lead us into his religious meditations.
